In conjunction with our Centre, the Collaborative Working Academy and the BIRCH Academy we are pleased to announce a further development of the Lean Construction and Lean Healthcare qualifications. The new qualification is a generic version of the existing qualifications to meet the requirements of the Lord Sainsbury report to Government on proliferation and under used qualifications, thus replacing the two existing qualifications with one.
Qualification content is identical but all referencing of Construction or Healthcare is removed from the Qualification Specification. The courses leading to the qualification(s), which have received very positive feedback from the organisations that have benefitted from them, remain unchanged and our certification of the new Level 5 Certificate in Lean Management will include reference to the industry segment in which the course was run. This provides learners (and employers) with the benefit of sector tailored training and practical assignments relevant to their work area that lead to a qualification that is truly transportable.
This change reflects the Qualification Industry’s longer term objectives (under the Lord Sainsbury Report) to reduce the multiplicity of “similar” qualifications across different industry sectors and CELL is one of the first Awarding Organisations to implement this type of approach. The new qualification should be available from Autumn this year.
If you have any questions about CELL’s role or the qualifications we provide please do not hesitate to contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org
